Since 2024 we have built and run a business system for a textile and apparel company: fabrics and sample garments are managed on the web, and an Android barcode scanner app handles loans, returns and label printing. The server, admin web, scanner app and print-station app stay connected in real time, and the system regularly syncs with the fabric ledger the team kept in spreadsheets.
Challenge
Fabric swatches and sample garments had to be identified by barcode to track stock, loans and returns, with labels printed on the spot. The system also had to fit the spreadsheet-based fabric ledger the team already used.
